It's all about having the red spot in his eye!

  • Listening to: Make the most of every day...(8)
  • Reading: Photography magazines, I always read that!
  • Playing: I play around with my camera. :D
  • Eating: Strawberries. :D
In Van Gogh's eye. :giggle:
It's all about having the red spot in Van Gogh's eye. :XD:

Well, I think the whole thing about genius photographs can't be described any easier, or any stranger. But please, tell me if you've heard anything weirder, when it comes to tell about the secrets of good photographs! :D
But so you don't think I'm crazy and like to paint Van Gogh with red spots in his eyes - let me explain. :P
I visited Catchlight Photo Studio some days ago. I haven't been there for... 3 months. Tomorrow it's three months since I had the last day of my school project at Catchlight. But I went there yesterday, to see what they thought about my portfolio. And they actually ended up picking out as much as 14 pictures they thought were really great! :D
:typerhappy:
But, as one of the photographers said: "It's all about having the red spot in Van Gogh's eye!" :giggle:
And I just think it's a genius quote, because every unique photograph have something that other photographs don't have! :D Something that make you stop for a moment and think: "Wow! That's just amazing. How did the photographer manage to capture that shot??", or something like that. :)

So - well, I've noticed that it recently has been quite much attention around my photo "Alice in Wonderland", that can be found here: [link]
But, here goes the even funnier part: I don't really know what it is about this photo, that makes so many people like it. Catchlight Photo Studio really like it, people here on dA really like it, and my mother likes it enough to take it with her to the school where she works - to put it up in the classroom her pupils are going to have next year. She actually took with her the iPod picture too, that can be found here: [link] :)
And when she was about to cut away the white borders on the pictures, another teacher told her that she liked the photo with the watch so much, that she asked if she could get a copy of it. And of course she could! (Btw, my mom took the photos with her because when my printer is printing, it gives me white borders around the pictures. It doesn't look really professional, and it's easy to get away those borders if you have a proper cutter machine. And a machine like that can be found where my mom is working. :XD: )

But: today I had a presentation of my portfolio, and I presented the 14 pictures Catchlight liked. The photographs really impressed my teacher! :D And everyone else who looked at them. :XD: :D So my teacher suggested that I should send in the pictures from the photo session I had in my flower bed( :XD: ), the watch and the iPod and something more in the same style. Because, right now my school is having some kind of competition - about making art for the school. I didn't really think about taking part in it until my teacher suggested it... :D
But well. I will! :D

Clearly I've put the "red spot in Van Gogh's eye", hehe! :typerhappy:

Anyways, have a great weekend! :D
:iconcutieballplz: <--- Btw, I made that plz emotion today! :D :iconcutieballplz:
